Railway Brake Disc Axle Mounted Brake Disc Train Brake Disc 160 km/h
Breif introduction:
There are two types of braking for railway vehicles: brake shoes brake and brake discs brake.
According to the brake disc mounting position, brake discs could be divided into wheel mounted brake disc and axle mounted brake disc.
Axle mounted brake disc refers to the brake discs mounted on axle between two wheels on the same wheel set. When the trains brake, the brake pad will press against the brake disc and the kinetic energy is transformed into thermal energy through the friction of brake pad and brake disc.
There are mono block type brake disc and twin block brake disc. Twin block type brake discs are in two half and are easier to replace when the brake discs are worn out. The brake disc is mainly composed of brake disc body, hub, disc hoop, bolts and washers and etc.
Main structural features:
- The disc hub and the disc body is connected by floating connection;
- The braking torque is overcome by elastic pin, improving the reliability of connecting bolts;
- Heat dissipation ribs are designed on the disc body and has good ventilation and thermal dissipation;
- Adopt self-locking nuts with embedded materials to ensure the nuts would not loosen;
- Flanging washer is added between each two groups for interlocking of nuts;
